ACADEMIC BACKGROUND & TEACHING

Science and mathematics

A CUHK Master of Science in Physics graduate and recipient of its MSc in Physics Outstanding Performance Award scholarship, bringing specialist postgraduate physics training to subject teaching.
Minored in Physics as an undergraduate, building a solid foundation in physics and mathematics.
Studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology in secondary school, achieving Level 5 or above in all three, Mathematics and M2 in the HKDSE.
Achieved results in the top 1.6% in Hong Kong in the 2019 HKDSE.
Won awards in the Hong Kong selection for the International Junior Science Olympiad (HKIJSO) and the Hong Kong Physics Olympiad (HKPhO), and was subsequently invited to Hong Kong team training at CUHK and HKUST.

Strength in both languages

Graduated in Chinese Language and Literature at CUHK. Since graduating, has taken HKDSE Chinese Language in multiple years and achieved 5** every time.
Achieved 5** in both Chinese Language and English Language in the 2019 HKDSE, a result attained by only 0.2% of candidates in Hong Kong.
A CUHK Chinese Language and Literature graduate with strong bilingual communication skills, using vivid analogies to explain abstract concepts and stories to help students remember essential content.
Achieved IELTS 8.0, an internationally recognised measure of English proficiency.
Recipient of the Wong Hok Pan Memorial Scholarship for Outstanding Freshmen at CUHK’s Wu Yee Sun College.
Recipient of the CUHK Admission Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Performance.

Teaching experience and achievements

Ran online courses from 2020 to 2022, earning the trust of over a hundred parents of primary and secondary students and gaining extensive experience leading classes.
Previously taught junior-secondary students in person at a small tutorial centre, developing practical experience in small-class management.
A long-standing member of YY Lam’s professional academic team, with experience in preparing notes and marking assignments and a meticulous approach to the work.
Invited as a guest speaker at academic seminars, offering students advice on subject choices and further study.
Pioneered an S.3 course combining Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 2024, developing experience in curriculum planning and examination question types.¹
Continually revised the flagship regular course against different schools’ teaching schedules to meet the needs of a wide range of S.3 students.
The 2025 S.3 course attracted hundreds of enrolments, with student numbers doubling and some classes reaching capacity.
